Environmental Services
Our housekeeping, laundry and maintenance team supports the efforts of all disciplines by providing a clean, safe and healthy environment.

Education Services
All staff members are trained through education services in the Wellness Model of Care, Extendicare’s CARE program, proper use of all equipment and current health care subjects applicable to delivering optimum care to our residents.
Resident safety is an area of key focus for education services. Monthly fire drills are carried out on all shifts to ensure skills are kept to proficient levels. Other emergency preparedness exercises are practiced throughout the year.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare Cobourg is a member of the Cobourg Ministerial Service program. This program oversees all of the multi-denominational religious and spiritual programming for the residents, family members and visitors.
We also have lay visitation through the various churches in the community and communion services monthly by three separate faiths.

Business Office
Our business office recognizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality in residents' information and financial documentation. Each resident’s information is held in a secured area using a strict information access protocol.
Our courteous office staff are available to assist residents, families and guests between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Volunteer Services
Volunteers are an integral part of our team. They support residents by assisting with scheduled recreation programs, events and one-to-one interactions. Volunteers are clearly identified while onsite and trained in the roles they assume.
A pledge of confidentiality and resident safety are key components of our volunteer orientation program.
