Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare Fort Macleod strives to ensure that the spiritual needs of our residents are met. Multi-denominational spiritual programs are provided within Extendicare Fort Macleod. Spiritual programs include hymn sing, bible reading and memorial services. As well, weekly Sunday church services are held in an inter-denominational setting.

Business Office
Our business office recognizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality in residents' information and financial documentation. Each resident’s information is held in a secured area using a strict information access protocol.
Our courteous office coordinator is available to assist you between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. After hours and on weekends, the nursing staff will be pleased to assist you.
Hairstylist Services
Community professionals offer regular on-site beautician/barber services to the residents of Extendicare Fort Macleod.

Education Services
We value knowledge and skills and promote continuous education for team members, residents and their families. The knowledge and skills acquired by all are used to improve our standards of practice as we continue Caring for you – Our Strength is our People.
To ensure that our staff remain our strongest asset, it is important that we provide a varied education program. Safety of our residents and staff is paramount as evidenced by our monthly fire drills.
All staff are also trained in the use of new equipment and all current health care subjects applicable to delivering optimum care to our residents.

Volunteer Services
At Extendicare Fort Macleod, our volunteers are an integral part of our team. They support residents by assisting with scheduled recreation programs, events and one-to-one interactions. Volunteers are clearly identified while onsite and trained in the roles they assume. A pledge of confidentiality and resident safety are key components of our volunteer orientation program.

Adult Day Program
Our adult day program is provided through the Rural Bridges Program.
Respite Care
Care and services are utilized to provide temporary relief for informal caregivers who provide ongoing care for family members and friends. This allows the caregiver time off from the stress of constant care provisions. A private room is available for a period of up to two months. The respite community support bed is booked through the home care nurse and the Chinook Health Region (CHR) Access Centre.
