Environmental Services
Extendicare Haliburton's housekeeping, laundry and maintenance team supports the efforts of all disciplines by providing a clean, safe and healthy environment. 

Having compassion, respect and an understanding of personal dignity ensures the team fosters a trusting and respectful relationship with residents, families and other team members.

Education Services
All staff members are trained through education services in the Wellness Model of Care, Extendicare’s CARE program, proper use of all equipment and current health care subjects applicable to delivering optimum care to our residents.

Resident safety is an area of key focus for education services. Monthly fire drills are carried out on all shifts to ensure skills are kept to proficient levels. Other emergency preparedness exercises are practiced throughout the year.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Our Pastoral Services Committee works to meet the spiritual needs of our residents. Our Pastoral Services Committee members are pastors from local community churches who preside over our weekly services on a rotating basis.

Many of our residents partake in our inter-denominational church service which is held each Friday. A weekly bible study program is also available.

Business Office
Our business office recognizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality in residents' information and financial documentation. Each resident’s information is held in a secured area using a strict information access protocol.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff will greet you in our business office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Volunteer Services
Volunteers are an integral part of our team. They support residents by assisting with scheduled recreation programs, events and one-to-one interactions. Volunteers are clearly identified while onsite and trained in the roles they assume.

A pledge of confidentiality and resident safety are key components of our volunteer orientation program

Beautician Services
Hairstyling services are available two days a week in our wheelchair accessible salon.
