Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare New Orchard Lodge understands the importance of spirituality in our resident's lives. We have an active Spiritual Care Committee whose goal is to ensure that the spiritual needs of our residents are identified and met.
We offer a variety of spiritual services throughout the month that include: Catholic Mass Monday mornings, Protestant services Thursday mornings (alternating between Baptist, Anglican, Presbyterian and United), weekly hymn sing, rosary group, a Sunday Ecumenical service and pastoral visitation.
Business Office
Our business office recognizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality in residents' information and financial documentation. Each resident’s information is held in a secured area using a strict information access protocol.

Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
During these hours your telephone calls will be answered personally, visitors will be greeted and assistance given where needed.
Hairstylist Services
Our salon is wheelchair accessible and caters to all resident hairstyling needs. Weekly appointments can be arranged directly at the salon with our licensed beautician.
Education Services
All staff members are trained through education services in the Wellness Model of Care, Extendicare’s CARE program, proper use of all equipment and current health care subjects applicable to delivering optimum care to our residents.
Resident safety is an area of key focus for education services. Monthly fire drills are carried out on all shifts to ensure skills are kept to proficient levels. Other emergency preparedness exercises are practiced throughout the year.
Volunteer Services
Volunteers are an integral part of our team. They support residents by assisting with scheduled recreation programs, events and one-to-one interactions. Volunteers are clearly identified while onsite and trained in the roles they assume. A pledge of confidentiality and resident safety are key components of our volunteer orientation program.
Environmental Services
At Extendicare New Orchard Lodge, our housekeeping, laundry and maintenance team supports the efforts of all disciplines by providing a clean, safe and healthy environment. Compassion, respect and an understanding of personal dignity ensures that this environment becomes home to each new resident
