Environmental Services
Extendicare Peterborough's housekeeping, laundry and maintenance teams support the efforts of all disciplines by providing a clean, safe and healthy environment.

Education Services
All staff members are trained through education services in the Wellness Model of Care, Extendicare’s CARE program, proper use of all equipment and current health care subjects applicable to delivering optimum care to our residents.
Resident safety is an area of key focus for education services. Monthly fire drills are carried out on all shifts to ensure skills are kept to proficient levels. Other emergency preparedness exercises are practiced throughout the year.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare Peterborough understands the diversity of spirituality. We strive to ensure that the spiritual needs of our residents are being met. This includes outreach to the community through our lay minister and various volunteers from the Ministerial Association, who lead our church services and make regular pastoral visits.
Inter-denominational spiritual programs are provided within our home as well as denominational services. Spiritual programs include hymn sings, Roman Catholic mass, Anglican communion, bible reading, mid-week devotional time and memorial services. Weekly Sunday church services are also held in an inter-denominational setting. Seasonal spiritual services include a seder at Passover as well as Easter and Christmas celebrations.

Business Office
Our business office recognizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality in residents' information and financial documentation. Each resident’s information is held in a secured area using a strict information access protocol.
Our courteous staff are available to assist you between the hours of 8:00 am – 7:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am - 5:30 pm on weekends.

Volunteer Services
Volunteers are an integral part of our team. They support residents by assisting with scheduled recreation programs, events and one-to-one interactions. Volunteers are clearly identified while onsite and trained in the roles they assume.
A pledge of confidentiality and resident safety are key components of our volunteer orientation program.
Beautician Services
Our wheelchair accessible salon caters to all of our residents' hairstyling needs. Salon hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments can be made directly with the hairstylist.
