At Extendicare St. Catharines, we pride ourselves in providing nutritious, home-cooked meals. Changes to our menu are made as a result of the feedback that we receive from our Residents' Council, individual residents and families.
Our in-house registered dietitian assesses the nutritional requirements of our residents and jointly develops a well-suited nutritional plan for care.

Environmental Services
At Extendicare St. Catharines, our environmental services department ensures that our residents enjoy a clean, safe environment. Our environmental team members are key personnel who focus not only on the housekeeping and laundry needs of our residents, but in fostering a trusting relationship with our residents, families, and team members.
Our environmental services department is also responsible for ensuring that our residents are safe and secure both within and outside of their home.

Social Work Services
Extendicare St. Catharines recognizes the fact that admission into a long-term care centre can be very difficult for you and/or your loved one. Our social worker can help you and your family to become acquainted and accustomed to this new living environment.
The social worker, a member of our interdisciplinary team, provides supportive counselling, information and education with regard to adjustment, psychosocial issues, financial issues, and referrals to appropriate community resources. Social work services strive to enhance the quality of life of all those who live, visit and work at Extendicare St. Catharines.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare St. Catharines understands the importance of spirituality. Our home offers weekly Catholic, Anglican and Baptist Church services. Spiritual programs can also include multi-faith singing groups, gospel hour and memorial services.
Our liaison with community churches ensures that the church representatives and church volunteers are readily available and visit regularly.

Business Office
Extendicare St. Catharines believes in the importance of personal contact and recognizes the fact that our residents' and family members' schedules often vary. Our courteous receptionists are available to assist you between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays.

Our wheelchair accessible salon is located on the 2nd floor and caters to all of our residents hairstyling needs. Appointments can be arranged at the business office.
