Dietary Services
At Extendicare Timmins, we pride ourselves in providing nutritious home-cooked meals. Our Resident Council consists of a dedicated group of residents who meet regularly with the dietary manager to discuss and review the current menu. Changes to our menu are made as a result of the feedback that we receive from our Resident Council.
Our in house registered dietitian assesses the nutritional requirements of our residents and together with them, their families and registered team members, creates a best-suited nutritional plan of care.

Environmental Services
At Extendicare Timmins, our environmental services department ensures that our residents are safe and secure both within and outside of their home. They also ensure that Extendicare Timmins maintains its welcoming atmosphere. Our environmental team members are key personnel who focus not only on the housekeeping and laundry needs of our residents, but in fostering a trusting relationship with our residents, families, and team members.

Resident Program Services
Extendicare Timmins recognizes the fact that admission into a long-term care centre can be very difficult for you and/or your loved one. Our resident program manager can help you and your family to become both acquainted and accustomed to this new living environment.
The resident program manager, a member of our interdisciplinary team, provides supportive counselling, information and education with regard to adjustment, psychosocial issues, financial issues, and referrals to appropriate community resources. Resident services strive to enhance the quality of life of all those who live, visit and work at Extendicare Timmins.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare Timmins understands the diversity of spirituality. Our recreation department oversees all pastoral services and spiritual care at Extendicare Timmins. This is done in part by outreaching to the community on behalf of our residents and with clergy for sacraments and prayer.
Inter-denominational spiritual programs are provided within Extendicare Timmins. Spiritual programs include bible hour and multi-faith prayer. Weekly church services are held in an inter-denominational setting as well as a denominational setting. Ministers and volunteers make regular pastoral visits.

Business Office
Extendicare Timmins believes in the importance of personal contact and recognizes the fact that our residents' and family members' schedules often vary. Our courteous receptionists are available to assist you between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. On the weekend our office staff can assist you from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.

Beautician Services
Our wheelchair accessible salon is located on the second floor and caters to all of our residents hairstyling needs. Appointments can be arranged at the business office and through the nursing staff.
