Extendicare’s long-term care services are designed for those who can no longer be cared for at home or in an assisted living facility due to illness, injury, frailty, or other limitations. Our homes employ licensed and certified nurses, therapists and certified or specially trained health care aides. We offer nursing and personal care on a 24-hour basis, access to a physician and other health professionals, medication administration, social and recreational programs at every home. Along with a choice of accommodations, housekeeping and laundry, pastoral and/or social services, dietary (including special diets), maintenance and administrative services are all included. All long-term care homes are licensed or otherwise operate under contract with governing authorities and in accordance with legislation.
