Dietary Services
At Extendicare Rouge Valley, we pride ourselves in providing nutritious home-cooked meals. Our Resident Food Committee consists of a dedicated group of residents who meet regularly to discuss and review the current menu. Changes to our menu are made as a result of the feedback that we receive from this committee.
Our in-house registered dietitian assesses the nutritional requirements of our residents. Together with our residents, families and registered team members, our dietitian develops the best-suited nutritional plan of care.

Environmental Services
At Extendicare Rouge Valley, our housekeeping, laundry and maintenance team supports the efforts of all disciplines by providing a clean, safe and healthy environment. Compassion, respect and an understanding of personal dignity ensures that this environment becomes home to each new resident.
Dedicated environmental staff observe changes in resident behaviors to ensure that we continue to meet their individuals needs. Communicating these observations ensures that our multi-disciplinary team approach is both flexible and advantageous to resident care.

Social Work Services
Extendicare Rouge Valley recognizes the fact that admission into a long-term care centre can be very difficult for you and/or your loved one. Our social worker can help everyone to become acquainted and accustomed to this new living environment.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, our social worker provides supportive counselling, information and education with regard to adjustment, psychosocial issues, financial issues, and referrals to appropriate community resources. Social work services strive to enhance the quality of life of all those who live, visit and work at Extendicare Rouge Valley.

Religious and Spiritual Services
Extendicare Rouge Valley understands the diversity of spirituality. Our chaplain oversees all pastoral services and spiritual care at Extendicare Rouge Valley. This is done in part by outreaching to the community on behalf of our residents.
Multi-denominational spiritual programs are provided within our home. Spiritual programs include bible study, praying the rosary, and multi-faith prayer. Our chaplain and volunteers make regular pastoral visits.

Business Office
Extendicare Rouge Valley believes in the importance of personal contact and recognizes the fact that our residents' and family members' schedules often vary. Our courteous receptionists are available to assist you between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday and 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Our wheelchair accessible salon is located on the main floor and caters to all of our residents' hairstyling needs. Appointments can be arranged at the business office.
