Onsite pets include two cats who have been raised by the residents from kittens; “Jazz” our orange and white coloured male cat loves to be held and pet. “Cameo” is the extra furry black and white female cat that leaves no question who the facility princess is! Our residents also raised our cockatiel bird named “Tiki” who will talk back to you. Two smaller birds with a beautiful song to share include a white and grey canary named “Ashes,” and a rare frill canary. Certified pet therapy dogs and handlers support our residents with unconditional love.
Outings to community festivals, events and venues are regularly organized, particularly from early spring until late fall. Increased in-house special events and entertainment provide comfort during the winter.
Certified recreation workers provide and facilitate programs seven days a week. Short evening programs are offered two days a week by a certified recreation staff.
